Hi there, I hope you are well and thank you for visiting my site. My name is Mícheál Hogan and I am the owner of Mícheál's Personal Training, which is based in Ennis, County Clare.


My qualifications:

  • I am a Certified Fitness Instructor (CFI) through the National Council for Exercise and Fitness (NCEF).
  • I am also a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) through the International Sports Science Association (ISSA)
  • I am a Specialist in Exercise Therapy (SET), again through the ISSA
  • I have further qualifications in Kettlebell instruction and Spinning instruction through Reebok.
  • I am a qualified Occupational First Aider trained in the use of a Defibrillator

    I have great aspirations for the future, and I am continually striving to expand my knowledge of exercise, health and fitness for the benefit of both myself and my clients to lead the way in personal training in Clare.

    Personal Training is my passion, a passion to help people live better lives. To see someone achieve their goals as a result of my help gives me great pride and satisfaction as a professional personal trainer.

    I am the manager at Ozone Health and Fitness Gym in Ennis. It is an excellent facility and the largest gym in Clare. It has a great free weights area and a spacious open plan design. Check it out on www.ozonegym.com You won't be disappointed.

    From here I can work with my own clients. I can also travel to their homes around Clare for personal training or train with them at a local park to change it up. Or I can take a client up to the aerobics hall where they can let loose on our punch bags and get a great workout.

    I normally work with people one-on-one, but due to increased interest I am also offering group personal training in Ennis and the surrounding area. These groups will be small so it might be the perfect opportunity for you to work out with a group of your friends in a targeted environment.
    This is perfect for those with similar goals or those working towards a specific event - such as weddings, parties etc. Or if you are interested I can place you in a small group with people who have similar goals from personal training
    However you choose whether you would prefer one-on-one or group personal training sessions!

    So what can you expect from a personal training session?
    If you have never done personal training before, people can find the idea of their first session a little daunting. I believe in making people as comfortable as possible at all times, so here is an outline of what you can expect from your first personal training session:
    The main aim of the session is to chat about your fitness goals and anything you think may have stopped you from reaching these in the past.
    Once we have set your goals, I then measure your fitness and other essentials such as weight and general measurements etc.
    When we have all of these established we can make a plan that will help you to meet your goal, as well as mini-goals for you to meet along the way.
    It's all about having fun, and pushing your boundaries to reach your goals.
    Remember the definition of insanity - doing the same thing again and again but expecting different results.
